Is trade union militancy back on the agenda?

Come and debate the question at the first meeting of 2012 of the London Magazine Branch.

The discussion will be kicked off by a member who has taken part in the recent industrial action over pensions - one that has seen more than two million teachers, nurses, civil servants and many others showing a new-found determination to take action to defend their conditions.

The meeting will also hear reports from journalists at Reuters and the FT, which have seen big meetings of journalists calling to be balloted for industrial action over pay.
